/ 7/10/2005 04:01:00 pm 2005 Student Badminton Open 1. Every year, the TPJC Badminton Team organizes the Student Open to encourage a healthy lifestyle and comrade among the student population. 2. This year the Student Open will be a team event based on a knock-out system comprising the following: (i) 1 x Boy’s Singles (ii) 1 x Girl’s Singles (iii) 1 x Mixed Doubles (iv) 1 x Boys’ Doubles (v) 1 x Girls’ Doubles [2 reserves; optional] 3. The competition will be held in Term 3 Week 5 (25-Jul to 29-Jul 2005) from 2.30pm to 6pm. 4. Any team that does not abide by the rules will be disqualified. The rules are as follows: (a) Each team can only consist of a maximum of 2 college team players (same or different gender). (b) Each student can only participate in 1 team. (c) If a team is absent for any reason, it will be considered as a “walk-over” in favour of the opponent. (d) If any of the team member(s) is unable to play, that particular match only will be deemed a “walk-over”. (e) Each team is to supply an Umpire for the competition and 2 linesmen for each of their matches. Failure to do so warrants an immediate disqualification. (f) A $5.00 administrative fee will be charged for each participating team. 5. Complete the following registration form and submit to Mr Lim Peng Yeow through the letter slot in the General Office by 17-Jul 2005, 12 noon. Late entries will not be entertained.
